In this video I want to discuss the bug out bag concept or whats referred to as the 72 hour bag.   This is a bag that is designed to help you survive if you are forced out of your home.  Usually the time frame we shoot for is 72 hours.   So why do we need a bug out bag?  A bug out bag is for situation where there is unexpected emergencies where you need to leave your home.  Maybe an earthquake has destroyed your house or a fire is coming.   Think of it as an insurance policy.

Some of the things you need to consider when you are building your bugout bag.  Every situation is going to be different.   When you are building your bag your really need to think about your region.

Lets talk about the basic foundation items every bag should have.

#1 Cutting tool.
#2 Ability to start a fire
#3 Cover / Shelter
#4 Containers
#5 Cordage / Para Cord
#6 Lighting – Flashlight etc.
#7 Bandana
#8 Compass
#9 Cargo Tape
#10 Needles

The rest of the survival bag list is continued on the video.
